Introduction

The Uttarakhand Judicial Services Examination is also known as the Uttarakhand Civil Judge Junior Division (CJ JD) Exam.
  • The competitive exam is conducted by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission to recruit candidates for the post of Civil Judge of the Uttarakhand state.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be a citizen of India.
  • You must hold a degree in law from a recognized university in India.
  • Also, you must have a thorough knowledge of Hindi in the Devanagari script and basic knowledge of computer operation.
  • Your age should be below 35 years to apply for the exam.
  • However, there is age relaxation for reserved categories:
    • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
    • Other Backward Classes – 3 years
    • Persons with Disability – 10 years

Mains Examination

Interview

  • The Interview or the Viva-voce carries 100 marks.
  • Marks scored in Viva-voce will be added to the mains exam score, and the authorities will prepare aggregate marks.
  • The questions asked in the interview will be general and not related to academic or legal.
    • The candidate will also be evaluated based on their knowledge of current affairs and present-day problems.
